Studio Créahm Fribourg (Switzerland)

Pascal Vonlanthen is born in Rossens ; he has been participating in the CREAHM workshop (creativity and mental handicap) since 1998, as well as his brother Guy, who is also an artist. With the passing of years, he develops his own pictural language, at the same time spontaneous and rational. His drawings - which mix objects and live beings - show his taste for order and well-organised space.

In a very simple and poetic way, with frequent reference to nature, he represents animals in their familiar environment, architectural elements, as doors, roads...

In his art, colours (oil sticks) are an essential element of composition which also give the emotional touch; strong or delicate, colours transcend reality and give pictures a peculiar style.

Pascal Vonlanthen is also at ease with big sized pieces and has done a sculptural fountain for the Hemato-Les Buissonnets building in Fribourg.
